Community Projects


"Operation Birthday Cake" is a heartfelt initiative I founded in partnership with the Harnett County Food Bank to ensure that financial constraints never prevent a child from celebrating their birthday. Recognizing the importance of such milestones, this project provides children with birthday cake ingredients, party toys, and unique birthday bags. Operating solely on my initiative and funded by my resources, I've been able to distribute more than 20 birthday bags monthly. "Operation Birthday Cake" has brought joy and celebration to over 200 children and their families, offering a ray of happiness and a reason to celebrate even amidst financial struggles. This project delivers birthday essentials and embodies a message of hope and community support, ensuring every child experiences the joy of their special day.

In 2020, I established BE KNS, a company dedicated to providing clean and evidence-based supplements without proprietary blends or fillers, reflecting my commitment to knowing precisely what I was consuming. Drawing upon my extensive background in athletic operations, strength and conditioning, and nutrition coaching for professional sports teams and tactical athletes, I recognized a significant demand within these communities for reliable products aligned with my values. As a result, BE KNS has grown to encompass multiple product lines and has been adopted by numerous sports teams in my local area.


The Mindfully Tactical Foundation


I began the Mindfully Tactical Foundation in 2023, inspired by my personal experience with the complexities of transitioning from military service to civilian life. Recognizing the need for more comprehensive support for those navigating this shift, our foundation focuses on enhancing the psychological and physiological resilience of individuals often exposed to high-stress situations - such as tactical athletes and veterans.


Our primary goal is to support veterans transitioning from service to civilian life. This period often brings unique emotional, mental, and practical challenges. However, our mission goes beyond that. We strive to assist veterans in making informed educational decisions and offer guidance in navigating the intricacies of the GI Bill and Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (VR&E) services. Moreover, our mentoring services provide personal, hands-on advice to help tactical athletes on their unique paths.


Through our unique programs, we aim to provide individuals with the tools and resources necessary to manage pressure, make sound decisions, and think strategically, whether in service or facing everyday civilian life. Our approach hinges on cultivating mindfulness, promoting strategic thinking, and fostering resilience to help tactical athletes reach their goals. We offer a wide range of classes and workshops, both online and in person, at the Cameron, North Carolina YMCA. These include mindfulness exercises, resilience-building strategies, educational planning, and benefits navigation, all tailored to meet the unique needs of those regularly exposed to high-stress situations.


More than a resource hub, the Mindfully Tactical Foundation is a vibrant community. We're deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels understood and valued. Through shared experiences and understanding, we aim to build resilience and improve the lives of tactical athletes, taking one mindful step at a time. Here at the Mindfully Tactical Foundation, we don't just facilitate resilience; we embody it.


Stay Mindful, Stay Tactical!

As the sole creator and designer of the Mindfully Tactical, Strategic Command, and Nutrition and Wellness for Veterans classes for the Mindfully Tactical Foundation website, I have meticulously developed these programs to align with the comprehensive insights provided in my published works. "Mindfully Tactical" leverages the strategies outlined in "Mindfully Tactical: Practical Strategies for Thriving in High-Stress Situations," aiming to equip individuals with the skills necessary to excel in high-pressure environments. "Strategic Command" is based on "Tactical Resilience: Building Mental Strength Through Mindfulness," focusing on cultivating mental resilience essential for peak performance in demanding scenarios. The latest addition, "Nutrition and Wellness for Veterans," draws from "Mindful Fuel" and "Mindful Bites," offering a focused exploration on the importance of nutrition and physical activity in supporting the mental and physical health of veterans transitioning to civilian life. Together, these courses form a holistic educational suite, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications and personal insights to empower individuals to thrive in both their personal and professional lives, seamlessly bridging their experiences from service to civilian life
